Steven A. F. Trevino serves as the Executive Director for Resilient Civilization and the affiliated Washington, D.C. Resilience Forum. He established Resilient Civilization as a non-profit activity through which to develop the highest intention framework and guiding principles for building adaptive capacity at-scale in the US and the world. His efforts are focused on leveraging leading and emerging practices from government, commercial and civil society to build measurable adaptive capacity across all critical infrastructure sectors and within society overall.
He also serves as the Senior Director for US National Security with Keane, Inc., a $1B annual revenues global services firm specializing in IT optimisation and high performance alignment for government and commercial clients. In this capacity he also leads the firm's Center for Mission Assurance & Resilience which develops leading practice approaches to assurance and resilience services. He serves as a Senior Executive Advisor for Booz & Company in support of their international Risk & Resilience Advisors practice. He formerly served as a Senior Executive Advisor with Booz Allen Hamilton providing resilience related services worldwide to government and commercial clients. He recently served as the Senior Advisor for Resilience to the Critical Infrastructure Task Force supporting the Homeland Security Advisory Council.
He has served in various senior advisory and operational roles over the last 27 years spanning government, management consulting and non-profits generally characterized as multi-stakeholder complex problem solving. Past assignments have included representing the Department of Defense as the Global Consequence Management Advisor during the Year 2000 event, representing the Department of Energy's National Nuclear Labs on advanced technology applications in support of global solutions, and working for several years on detail to support the National Security Council implemention and drafting of the US President's Annual Report on National Security Strategy.
Steven has held officer commissions with both Army and Air Force Reserves and as a civilian intelligence officer with Defense Intelligence Agency. He holds graduate certificates in Global Business Leadership and Transformational Leadership from Georgetown University, an M.A. in Government and International Affairs from CSUS, and a B.A. from UCLA.
